The Nendoroid (ねんどろいど, nendoroido) series is a brand of plastic figures made from ABS and PVC created by the Japanese Good Smile Company in 2006. They typically depict characters from anime, manga, movie or video games and are designed in chibi (large head and smaller body) to give them a cute appearance. Their faces and other body parts are exchangeable, giving them a range of different expressions and poses.

Obitsuroid came from Obitsu + Nendoroids. It's a hybrid of an Obitsu 11cm ball-jointed doll body that has a modified neck joint to fit a nendoroid head. Obitsu alone is a type of ball-jointed doll made of vynil. It's actually cheaper than the other BJD types. They also have different sizes ranges from 11cm (smallest) to 60cm (tallest).

I actually prefer Obitsu 11cm bodies than using the Nendoroid parts as I enjoy posing them freely, dress them up according to my liking and easy to bring them anywhere. Aside from Obitsu 11cm, there are other bodies you can use for your Nendoroids like: Nendo Doll, Cupoche, Piccodo 9, or Yomane 12.
